Division seminars

Black holes and dark matter

by Alexander Kusenko (UCLA)

→ Europe/Prague
Description

Abstract:

Black holes created in the early universe, before the stars and galaxies were born, may constitute the long-sought dark matter.  Other forms of dark matter can affect the formation of supermassive black holes.  I will review the interplay between dark matter and black holes, as well as  the prospects of detecting the first black holes in the universe.
