Abstract:

I will sketch ideas in recent years which establish that all configurations of D-branes in string theory can be viewed as vacuum solutions of a single underlying field equation.

The seminar will be held in the conference hall in the building of the Institute of Physics, Na Slovance 2, Prague 8 on the ground floor.
